Custom abstract paintings in Ticino
An original painting made for your home, your colours and the space it will live in. And if you are nearby, I can come and visit.
A painting made for your space
I was born in Lugano and for many years I have lived just across the border, in the province of Varese. Ticino and its lakes have always been my home landscape. This is where I paint my abstract acrylic works, and where the commissions I care about most come to life: the ones where I get to meet the people who will live with the painting.
A commissioned painting is not a copy of something that already exists. It is an original, painted by hand and built around you. We start from the size of the wall, the light in the room, and the colours you love or want to pair with your furniture. Then I let the canvas do the rest, with the spontaneity and bold colours that define my work.

How a commission works
First contact
You write to me and tell me what you have in mind: the room, the mood you are after, maybe a photo of the wall. You do not need to know anything about art - a feeling to start from is enough.
Colours and size
Together we choose the canvas size and the colour palette. I suggest a few ideas and we agree on timing and price before I start, so there are no surprises.
Painting
I paint the work and send you photos along the way, so you can watch it take shape step by step.
Delivery
Once the painting is finished I pack it carefully and it arrives at your home, together with a certificate of authenticity signed by me.
I come to see your space
A painting can look completely different depending on the wall it hangs on. That is why, if you live in the area, I can come and see the space in person: the light, the proportions, the colours of the furniture and fabrics all help me understand which size and tones will really work in your room.
I also bring a few of my paintings with me, so you can see them in real life and feel which direction speaks to you most. A photo on a screen never quite captures the depth of paint applied by hand, and seeing a canvas leaning against your own wall says more than any description.
Where I work
I am happy to travel all over Ticino: from Lugano to Bellinzona, from Locarno and Ascona on Lake Maggiore down to Mendrisio and Chiasso, and north towards Biasca and its valleys. If you live in or around any of these places, we can arrange to meet at your home.
The same goes for the Italian side of the border: Varese and Como, Luino and Ponte Tresa, Porlezza, Campione d'Italia and, on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, Verbania and Cannobio.
Live further away? No problem: a commission works just as well remotely, with photos and messages, and the finished painting is shipped to Italy and Switzerland, hand-packed with professional materials.
“On canvas I try to convey an emotion of my own, leaving those who look at it free to interpret it in their own personal way.”
Frequently asked questions
How much does a commissioned painting cost?
The price depends mainly on the canvas size and the complexity of the work, and we always agree on it together before I start, so there are no surprises. To get an idea, have a look at the prices of the paintings in the gallery.
How long does it take?
It depends a lot on inspiration, but the painting is usually ready within 4-6 weeks. Once it is with the courier, shipping usually takes 3-7 working days.
Can I see a preview before the painting is finished?
I do not make a sketch, but while I work I send you photos of the painting so you can follow its progress. To give me a sense of the colours and style you like, you can also take inspiration from my paintings in the gallery, including those already sold.
Tell me about your idea
Send me a few lines about the space you want to bring to life and the colours you like. I will reply personally and, if you are nearby, we can arrange to meet.
